Certificate check
Verify a certificate
Enter the certificate ID printed on a Madeproof proof-of-originality PDF, or paste its verification link. Anyone can check one: marketplace reviewers, lawyers, or the maker themselves.

What the check covers
01
Madeproof's signature
The certificate is signed with our Ed25519 key. Any change to its contents breaks the signature.
02
File fingerprints
Each recorded file is listed with its SHA-256 fingerprint, so you can check a file you hold matches byte for byte.
03
Independent timestamp
An RFC 3161 timestamp from FreeTSA shows when the certificate existed, without relying on our clock. You can check it with OpenSSL.
A certificate shows that particular files were held at the recorded time. It doesn't prove authorship by itself, and it isn't legal advice.
