Finding the copy is the easy part.
Reporting it means registering on each marketplace's own IP portal and proving who you are, then filling in a different form for each one. Reports get rejected for a cropped screenshot or a missing seller ID. Then there's a deadline to watch, and the same listing comes back under a new name a week later.
Most copycat tools stop at “here's a match”. Madeproof starts there.

How it works
From “that's mine” to “it's gone”
One case file per copy, from the first sighting to the day it comes down, with everything a platform asks for in one place.
- Fig. 01
Prove it's yours
Import your listings from Etsy's CSV export, or upload photos. Each original and process photo is fingerprinted and timestamped by our server, and you can download a signed certificate.
- Fig. 02
File it right
Paste the copy's link. We detect the marketplace, pull out the listing and seller IDs, and fill in that platform's report from your one-time rights profile. A checklist catches the usual rejection reasons.
- Fig. 03
Track it until it's gone
Every copy becomes a case with a status and a deadline, and you get an email before it's due. Once a copy is removed, the re-listing watch keeps looking and tells you if it returns.
Also included: a web check that uses Google's reverse-image search to find your photos on blogs, independent shops, Etsy and eBay. It doesn't reliably cover Temu, Shein or AliExpress, because those sites aren't well indexed by search engines, which is why pasting a link is the main way in.
Filing kits
Each platform's rules, already followed
Fill in your rights profile once. Every kit pulls from it, follows that platform's own form, and checks for the details that usually get reports rejected.
Temu
Portal: Temu IP Infringement Report Portal
What the report needs
- Name / Rights owner
- Email address
- Physical address
- Infringing URL (full, starting with https://)
- Seller name and ID
Why reports get rejected
- Leaving out the link to your original work or its first publication date.
- Shortened or app share links instead of the full https://www.temu.com/… listing URL.
- Cropped screenshots that hide the address bar or price.
After you file
Temu usually answers within a few business days. Track it in the portal dashboard and update this case.
Madeproof fills this in from your rights profile and checks it before you submit.
Also included: an Etsy appeal pack for listings wrongly removed under the Creativity Standards. Want to do it by hand? Read our step-by-step reporting guides.
Proof vault
A dated record that your work came first
Every original and process photo is fingerprinted with SHA-256 and timestamped by our server the moment it arrives. Download a signed certificate that anyone can check online, and attach it to any report or appeal.

What we will and won't do
- § 1
We never scrape. We don't crawl or log in to marketplaces. You bring the link and the screenshot, and the open-web check uses Google's licensed API.
- § 2
You always press submit. We prepare the report. You file it in your own name on each platform. We never act as your agent.
- § 3
Evidence, not legal advice. Kits and letters are templates built on each platform's public rules. For a legal question, talk to a lawyer.
- § 4
Honest about detection. No tool can see every copy on Temu or AliExpress. We say so plainly, and we built the product around what you can prove and file.
Pricing
Priced like a tool, not a law firm
Managed takedown services charge from around $799 a month. Madeproof gives you the same evidence and paperwork, and you press submit yourself.

Questions
Before you open a case
Do you find the copies for me?
Partly. The web check uses Google's reverse-image search to find your photos on blogs, independent shops, Etsy, eBay and some Amazon pages. Temu, Shein and AliExpress aren't well indexed by any search engine, so for those you paste the link when you or a customer spot a copy. Madeproof handles everything after that.
Will you send takedowns for me?
No, and that's deliberate. You file each report in your own name, on the platform's own portal, using the kit we prepare. That keeps you in control and keeps us out of the role of legal agent.
How does importing from Etsy work?
In Etsy, go to Shop Manager → Settings → Options → Download Data and download your listings CSV. Upload it here, and we copy your listing photos from Etsy's image server into your private vault.
Is the certificate legally binding?
It's evidence, not a ruling. It shows your files existed, unchanged, by a certain time, and that Madeproof issued the record. Platforms and lawyers weigh it alongside your other records.
What happens when a copy comes back?
On the Designer and Studio plans, the re-listing watch keeps checking designs with removed copies. If the copy reappears at the same address, or a new one shows up on the same marketplace, the case is marked “Re-listed” and your kit is ready to file again.
