Madeproof is not a law firm

Madeproof provides evidence-gathering tools and document templates. Nothing in the service is legal advice, and using it does not create a lawyer–client relationship. We do not file reports, notices or appeals on your behalf. You decide whether to submit them, and you submit them yourself.

1. The service

Madeproof helps you record your original work (with cryptographic fingerprints and timestamps), search for visually matching images on the web using Google Cloud Vision, review those matches, and prepare reports and appeals for third-party platforms. Search results come from a third-party service and may be incomplete or include images that are not copies. You are responsible for reviewing every match.

2. Your account

You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
Keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity on your account.
Give accurate information, especially in your rights profile, because it is copied into reports you submit.

3. Your content and your claims

You keep all rights to images and information you upload. You give us a limited licence to store, process and send them to our sub-processors (such as Google Cloud Vision) only to provide the service. Upload only work you own or are authorised to protect.

Reports of infringement are legal statements, often made under penalty of perjury. Submit a report only if you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorised. Filing false or abusive reports may expose you to liability and is a breach of these terms. We may suspend accounts used to harass sellers or to file bad-faith claims.

4. Acceptable use

Don't try to access other users' data, bypass rate limits or plan limits, or disrupt the service.
Don't use Madeproof to scrape, harvest or monitor people.
Don't upload unlawful content, or content you have no rights to.

5. Plans, billing and cancellation

Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which may charge applicable taxes. You can cancel at any time from Settings. Your plan stays active until the end of the paid period. Fees already paid are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. We may change prices with 30 days' notice.

6. Proof certificates

A Madeproof certificate shows that particular files were held in your account, unchanged, at the recorded time, and that Madeproof issued the certificate. It does not prove authorship or that no earlier copy exists. Platforms, courts and other parties decide how much weight to give it.

7. Third-party platforms

Filing kits reflect our understanding of each platform's public process on the date shown in the kit. Platforms change their forms and policies without notice, and they alone decide the outcome of a report. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Temu, Alibaba, AliExpress, Amazon, eBay, Etsy, Shein or Google.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, or the outcome of any report or appeal. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

9. Ending the service

You can delete your account at any time. We may suspend or end accounts that breach these terms. Sections 3, 6, 7 and 8 continue after termination.
